Barry & Dionne first met at a Philadelphia jazz club in 1992, where Barry was accompanying Dionne's mother, a noted jazz vocalist. Fast forward 23 years... the two reunited, and after a 2 year, long-distance relationship, married in Philadelphia.  Barry relocated to Houston in 2017, blending their families both culturally and by marriage.  Dionne and Barry have four children: two girls and two boys. 

 

Barry is a New Jersey native, a graduate of Temple University’s Jazz Program, & also attended UCLA Los Angeles for study in film scoring. He's traveled internationally for over two decades performing Jazz, Latin, and world music. He also played keyboard with many of the top wedding/party bands in Philadelphia for more than 20 years. Barry has been a producer/arranger for pop commercial and independent studio projects since the early 2000s. 

 

Dionne Sames comes from a large musically talented family full of singers and musicians, growing up bicoastally in both the New Jersey and Houston areas. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Computer Science also from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, attending on a full NCAA Track & Field Scholarship. Dionne went on to earn a Master’s in Computer Information Systems and has over 20 years of experience working in corporate America in multiple industries including Entertainment, Finance & Banking, and Oil & Gas.
